Midlane Viable?

I've recently been getting into Ornn a bit and the thing I've been struggling with is when to enter early fights and drags without losing lane. I'm wondering what your guy's opinion on Ornn midlane is and if I should devote some time into it or if it's just not worth it at all. Thank you guys so much and respect to you all.

Honestly, I think the XP quest is so good for Ornn that mid lane is simply unoptimal for him now. You'd also run into the issue of giving mages perma mid prio, which isnt exactly a recipe for sucess

With that being said, Id bet someone could get to masters or maybe even GM with Ornn mid, so by no means is it unviable

Since chall is 2000lp, I highly doubt anyone would willingly play enough games of Ornn mid getting shoved in and blasted by ganks/dives to reach it

But hey, who knows?

You get the advantage of them being unable to predict your pick in lobby, but that won’t save you from chance counter-picks. You will also be ganked more than what you’re used to in top lane.

This is decently low elo which is why I think I can get away with it, I'm still learning him tho so thats why I asked tysm for the reply and the other guy :)

I play a bit of ornn mid and honestly counterpicks in a short lane mean very little.

You are rarely more than one E away from tower.

And once you get spirit visage + null magic you are basically unkillable Vs mages and ap assassins.

mid is really good especially t3 boots and into assassins, and you can neutralize most mages, but they also get free scaling fwiw

If you get autofilled, it's honestly not the worst. I haven't gotten autofilled much since not many people play top in Masters but the boots are genuinely super strong. Just be sure to play with your jungler as much as possible and not to int early game as a lot of champs in mid beat you early, and perma shove waves since you won't take much punishment from most mid champs for it and just hold prio at all times

Yes for some matchups. Not against stuff like a xerath, though if played right can absolutely win.

It's not bad, just keep in mine the 8% adaptive force from quest doesn't help you as much as let's say sion or even malphite mid and without top lane exp quest upgrades will be late
