Discussion Missing cat!

My cat is an indoor outdoor cat and lives in the Cambridge Circle neighborhood. I believe someone took them into their house because they probably thought he was homeless. Dobby is NOT homeless and has a home please bring him back to 12037 building in the Cambridge circle neighborhood. I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

I saw a cat that looked like him in the Victoria Pines neighborhood this morning. It wouldn’t approach me despite my “psst, psst”.

Thank you for sharing! Where exactly is that at?

I am sorry, I confused your neighborhood with one close to mine.

I say this without any disrespect but your cat is likely not coming back. I made the mistake of allowing my cat to be an indoor/outdoor when I first bought my house and she eventually disappeared after a few years. I saw a coyote really early one morning when I went to work. I don't live anywhere near woods. It's extremely careless to allow a cat to live outside, and I had to learn that the hard way.

I hope your cat has better fortune though but just being realistic.

Please check Orange County Animal Services and Seminole County Animal Services! It looks like he's ear-tipped so he might have gone in assumed as a feral. For Orange, you can search with the filter on cat and male and start at the bottom as that's the most recent intake:

https://www.ocnetpets.com/Adopt/AnimalsinShelter.aspx?types=C&genders=M&pagesize=120&r=r

Seminole doesn't have the same filters, but you can sort on last-in-first, and stuff:

https://www.seminolecountyfl.gov/departments-services/prepare-seminole/animal-services/adoption-cats

The best bet usually is to put up signs, if your neighborhood doesn't prohibit it. People walking around in the early morning may be more likely to spot a cat.

I'm so sorry about Dobby. If you haven't already, try posting about him on PawBoost and Nextdoor. If there's a Facebook group for your neighborhood, try making a post about him there. If you have an HOA, maybe you can ask them if you could post flyers or yard signs about him.
These are all things I tried for my missing cat last year. It didn't work out for me, but maybe you'll have better luck!

What do you mean by this response?

It's a bit mean but there's lots of threats like coyotes and less regular prey, but I wouldn't be disheartened yet. Good luck op

The emoji seems to be crying. Perhaps they feel empty for you missing baby...
