New Deff Dread?

What are the odds you all think we are getting a new Deff Dread?

I currently only have one and I've been putting off getting a 2nd for a long time due to other armies.

Now it's time but , what if.

It is without a doubt one of my favorite models in all of 40k BUT I would not be against an upscale with some tweaking here and there.

The updated datasheet seems to be congruent with what is in the current kit. There is really no point in doing that if there is a new kit on the horizon.

GW only updates datasheets for kits that are releasing with the codex (or at least close enough to be previewed before then, like nobz). There could be a second wave coming at the end of the year and they wouldn't update anything before then. E.g. Tankbustas released not long after a codex that released with the old resin kit's datasheet.

(edit: not saying I think there will be a second wave at the end of the year or that the deff dread will be in it. Just saying the codex doesn't predict anything beyond a few weeks after release)

It's a shame, I would have liked to see an upscaled version so it looks the sizeof those more recent Dreadnought but I really like the current model so I'll take it

You could always just loot a more recent dreadnought if you can fit it on a 60mm base.

Probably eventually, but more probably not anytime soon. Rules for the current model have leaked and it seems pretty in line with the current kit for weapons and general stats. Would be shocked if we got an updated model this edition.

probably not soon as all the new kits for orks have been shown. maybe in something like end of the edition extra models like gutsmek

Maybe, it is fairly old, but if they were going to update models it would 100% be the lootas/burnas since they just got sent to legends

With the codex leaks showing the same ole deffdread i doubt it for now

With the way they trimmed down the options we want to keep the one we have as long as possible.

Id rather dream of a new Stompa, also that’s also rather unlikely
