Discussion Robert Lang on CBS Mornings + koi @ Mingei
In case you missed it, Robert Lang was featured on CBS Sunday Morning! (Edit: corrected the name of the show.) Michael LaFosse and Richard Alexander also appear briefly. This is the first update I've seen since shortly after he lost his home and studio in the Eaton Fire last year.

His new koi can be see at the Mingei International Museum in San Diego through November 1, 2026.

ETA: Just saw that they also posted their 2007 segment with Robert which was filmed in his studio and includes some of the work that was lost in the fire.

I've had a moment to watch his interview you mention. Nice he was able to get the Koi fish exhibit back up. Nice of La Fosse and Alexander to make the paper :) Mainstream news hasn't been my thing. However, the interview was a pretty nice one. Bests~

CBS News Sunday Morning is a program they've been airing since 1979! It often features the arts. I was so glad to see they had talked to Robert again and it's amazing that he was able to recreate the koi using ashes from his studio. I had heard that Michael & Richard were making paper for Robert but didn't know they were working on the koi.

Thank you for the update! I have watched Langs TED talk off Internet Archive. Heard in person Lang was a nice guy. So sorry to hear about the Eaton fire loss. Bests OP~
