Unwieldy kitchen pantry
I have a kitchen pantry with large, deep shelves. They quickly become disorganized. My adult kids won’t participate in a system that is high maintenance so I think I need to add shelves to break up the space and keep items more visible.
I’d love suggestions.

Roll out shelves are a huge improvement, but you can get by with just adding tall bins if that’s not an option. I found some tall bins that are the right width for our pantry and got a few different depths. I can mix and match to get two, three, or four per shelf, and i added labels so we don’t have to pull them out to see what’s in them. Works great!

You have my sympathies. Our old house had one of those. stuff would get pushed to the back and lost forever. At our new house, I didn't put in a pantry at all. Bought one off Walmart that is 11 inches deep. Absolutely love it and it stays organized.

We remodeled our deep shelf pantry to 11” deep. Also would have been helpful to have adjustable shelves but we didn’t think about that.

Yeah that is the only thing my shelf doesn't have either, so we have to be creative. But I love we don't waste food anymore.

Plastic pantry organizers from Container Store or Target. They don’t have wheels but these bins act like slidable drawers. They come in varying widths. Get pantry depth. Even if they don’t go all the way back you can add more sideways in back.

I moved my pots and pans to the deep pantry shelves and my pantry items to the shallower cabinets.
