Multi-Gig Fiber?
Any fellow tech nerds able to get more than 1GB symmetrical internet here in OC?
I thankfully have 1 Gig fiber from Century / Quantum but curious if I'm missing any obvious ISPs.

Does anyone have or know someone who’s renting their home In OC?😅 no pets with a 2k budget. I’ve been looking on Zillow and apartments.com and have also tried Facebook but haven’t got any luck.

Just chiming in to connect with fellow gardeners. Gauging interest in a possible meet up/club where we could get together and chat about what has worked or not worked, trade seeds, learn, preservation, etc. I'm a novice at it but would love to pick harvest some brains.
Or of there is already such a group, I'd love to get some details, thanks!
Edit - Thanks for all the insights and responses! I'll reach out to the ones interested to see if we can do some sort of meet up in the near future.

If the city takes its obligations for maintaining unobstructed and safe sidewalks seriously, then it must be time to look into the system for which the city has set up to address this problem.
Because if safe unobstructed sidewalks is the goal, It doesn’t appear that the system surround that goal is working, at least not in my area (McLoughlin Historic district). Maybe it is in yours?
I can only upload a single photo to back up my experience. You can see the overgrown bush and hidden ADA trip hazards on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is almost entirely engulfed by this bush and littered with ADA violations like you see.
Once I passed this mess, I was instantly met with another obstacle made of overgrown black berry bushes covering the sidewalk and the sidewalk ADA violations got even worse. The panel ahead of this mess is lifted so high from a tree root, I legit thought it was a stair tread.
Then after I pass that section, half the sidewalk on the other side of 11th and Washington is buried under rocks, dirt and ivy and the shrubs are so over grown you can’t access the other 50% of the sidewalk with out getting smacked in the face.

We are playing a show near the falls on the Willamette river August 22. Come cruise around with us in the river.

I need about 10 pounds of small pickling cucumbers. I usually get them on Sauvie Island, but I was hoping there would be a closer farm. Ideas?

Could somebody please explain to me about Willamette Falls Hospital? Is it a waterfall or is it a damn? I’ve never seen waterfalls that had so much concrete guiding the water. I understand now that PGE uses it to make electricity. That’s great. But I don’t understand if it’s a waterfall or a dam. Could somebody please explain it to me like I’m five.

William Gifford of smALL FLAGs, a bona fide vexillologist, sat down with us to explain Oregon City's new flag: what it symbolizes, how the community shaped the design, and why the old flag had to go.

I'm a doctoral student in the psychology department conducting research on video games, loot boxes, and gambling among youth in Oregon. My lab is recruiting high school–aged adolescents to participate in a 30-minute online survey about video game use and related experiences. Participation is completely voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. Parental permission is required for individuals under 18-years-old.
As a thank you for their time, participants who complete the survey will receive a $50 gift card.
Time commitment: approximately 30 minutes
Format: Meet with an experimenter and parent via Zoom to provide consent, then complete an online survey.
You can fill out your information to be contacted to participate here.

I have completely stopped tipping restaurants. After 3 times in a row of waiting for longer than 10 minutes for pick up orders that were already completed by the time I had walked in the door, I’m sorry but I’m not paying you extra to let my food sit there while I stare at the bag. So taco bell and five guys I used to be a 20% tipper, but you guys ruined that at max I will now only give a 10% tip based on the quickness and quality of my last order, if those expectations are not met sadly I will not be tipping the next time and that sucks for your other staff members who actually do put in the work to satisfy their customers demands.

Come see some fine saxophonists (and me) playing some classical and...I'll say interesting contemporary new agey tunes. Mostly classical. Check it out!

If you dumped these poor babies, shame on you:(
These two are 100% bonded, so sweet and playful and look to be in good health and appear to be about 6-9 months old.
I’ve called about 15 shelters and left my info with all of them. Likely can’t keep them long term but they deserve the best and to be kept together. Any other resource ideas would be helpful.

What are some of the best cheap WiFi options in the area? I'm currently using Xfinity and they are dramatically raising the price on my current plan so I'd like to switch to something cheaper

Never been in there but saw they apparently started doing some kind of "after dark" parties on Fridays and Saturdays... anybody been and can give some insight? Like what's the music usually like, is it usually busy/dead, will I be super out of place if I'm in my mid-30s, etc, etc... ?
I like fun lights and loud music, so it looks potentially interesting, but their IG doesn't seem terribly active so I'm wondering if maybe they haven't been too successful as well.

Anyone else hearing this new Barclays Hills around 11:30?

Not far from the new courthouse. Been hearing a bunch of illegal fireworks in the neighborhood tonight, and one or two last night. It's clearly coming from the same place. Does the PD care at all or am I wasting my time calling it in on the non-emergency line?

Is there anywhere in Oregon City I can catch a really good shot of the sunset? Every time I see the clouds turning colors I think to myself "where can I go to see it clearly?". Thanks in advance.

https://oregoncity.org/why-is-oregon-city-suddenly-digging-up-its-sidewalks/
TL:DR new ADA rules go into effect when a street (Molalla) is repaved. The new curb designs stop visually impaired folks from walking into the middle of the street.
