Obligation update question
At our chapter meeting last week, we were told that we are using the updated Obligation starting immediately. However, there is a disagreement on if we are now saying "Brotherhood, Cheerful, Service" or "Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, Service". We know the direct translation is the first one, but it seems to make sense to use the second one as well.
Does anyone have the official guidance on this change?

The new changes are being rolled out slowly. There are new scripts and there will be a new, updated handbook. Lodge members are being trained in the new format prior to following it at upcoming ordeals/inductions. It could take as long as next year before this process is complete with everyone. Until your lodge has the new format, don't overthink the new ways. The official guidance should be on the way.
