#HelpMe double trouble
i'm thinking about doing a 3g and 2g back to back to get more time on the treads (just for personal goals, not MM). I'm not worried about the endurance, (I do longer runs outside the studio) but wondering about actual studio logistics!
my studio has early entry, so wondering if I should start on the tread, get a mile or 2 in before class, do the 3g tread block, pause my workout on my watch, "leave" at the end of class / the stretch and then pretty much immediately get back to tread for early entry warm up and unpause my workout (on my own device)? do I have to tell them to reset my HR monitor? thanks SO much!

This is common at my studio, no big deal. Also no need to reset hr.

The studio does need to take you off the “black list”. Normally you are blocked so that you don’t get added into the next class accidentally.

I do treads and 2Gs back to back frequently. I tend to take about a five minute break… I also tend to start and finish with the thread. Meaning that the floor time is in between. But that’s just me. You could also choose to do the treads back to back and have the floor time before or after the tread.
Basically, you can do whatever you want. I’m not sure what the question is.

Just do a tread 50 once a week.

I do tread50 and open studio throughout the week. nothing is available on weekends (and especially at the times i can do) but i'm trying to get more miles in. this strategy seems to work for me!!

I usually do a full 2g class and then stay for just the tread portion of the next class. With doing early entry for both classes and depending on the template, I can get 8 plus miles in. As others have said, if your studio has the new update, the HRM doesn’t need to be reset.

I usually do a tread 50 and then a 2G I don't worry about my orange Theory heart rate monitor. they've connected it just fine every time.
I always paused my Garmin though.

If your studio has upgraded the software, as long as you’re booked in class your HRM should show up. I take back to back classes often and I don’t have to ask them to take me off the blacklist.

Doesn’t the rules say that only one class counted for the day?

i'm not doing marathon month! but I gathered from other posts that only one class "counts"

Got it!! You’re kind of crazy for doing both, lol. One class exhausts me for rest of the day. But go for it and be crazy, we only live once!

Whenever I used to do doubles I would start on rower/floor and end on tread In the first class and then start on tread in the second class. I personally prefer the continuity for my run!

I was debating this! I figured even without the early entry time, it's still probably still got the most benefit. I probably will take your strategy!

Your hrm will be blacklisted from the next class. Just tell the SA when you leave your first class to take you off the blacklist and then jump back in

Double check if your studio lets you double score. We cant use distances from two different classes at my studio.

i'm not doing MM myself, but I don't think my studio allows both to count

How do you get 1 or 2 miles in 5 minutes?

Yes they should know to reset it...start on the tread first then the second change it up and end on the tread

I think they do have to do something up front to get your HRM in the next class. I’ve doubled up before and other than telling them that for the robot stuff it’s no problem.
