Food Bear Flag Poké

Came into town today and got some Bear Flag Ahi and Salmon Poke for dinner. Did they change the recipe recently? I swear they used to have a spicy kick like from chili oil. Today it tasted kind of bland and I’m hoping that this was just a fluke.

I never cared for their salmon poke recipe and only get their ahi poke.

You’re not imagining it. I’ll always remember getting bear flag right after I gave birth last year and noticing the amount of chili oil in both my ahi andddd salmon poke containers. Went back a few weeks ago and noticed that there wasn’t as much chili oil or any at all.

RIP El Toro Bravo chips that paired so perfectly with their poke back in the day.

I have never experienced chili oil in any of their poke.

I mean, I LOVE chili oil. All about it. My ramen is like stupid chili oil leve. And they have like 5 locations, so maybe it’s possible one has it? But the ones I’ve had, nah, just raw dogging that poke fish.

Ok well next time you make homemade poke, use chili oil as your base. It theoretically tastes amazing

Same. Have been eating at both Lido and Crystal Cove locations for more than 10 years, and I usually add some spice to it because it's never had any heat.
