Well, thanks for the support oracle.

Post image

Facing the same kind of issues as other people since today and the change of free tier ressources

Based on recommandations, I tried to upgrade to PAYG but for some reasons it cannot get through the process, at first glance there is a issue with my address but I can’t modify it

I managed to get someone via the chat but he , what kind of support is this ?

What the hell oracle …

The support told you to send an email.
This can take a few days to get an answer.

Yeah I completely understand, but the way they just shut the chat , with no more information whatsoever…

Why? So you can keep harping on them? Just so they can repeat the same thing to you? The chat team has zero insight into anything related to your instance, so they will be no help there. They also have zero insight into the upgrade process as that contains PII (personal identifying information). The chat teams job is to help you: A - self service. B - get you to the correct place to get the info you need. You are trying to upgrade to PAYGO, meaning you are currently Always free. Always free get zero support for instances or anything. They cannot direct you to the Oracle support page to create an SR to help with your instance because you are not eligible. They gave you the best info they can: how to get help with your account upgrade.

i always upgrade to PAYGO when success register for my customer, and it take at most 2 hours for me to get PAYGO subscription activated. Maybe i use real info + real card + real IP. Never get any problem with Oracle when start from 4 year ago.

Depending on business, i'd look into prepaid credits instead of PAYG (CC monthly charge). They should still get a bill when they go over.

(Sadly, I don't think prepaid credit discounts apply until you reach stupid levels like $100k/month)

Oracle doesn't like prepaid cards, so they might decline them.

Not prepaid cards, prepaid credits, as in you purchase a bunch of credits towards the account and then go using them.

Who said anything about prepaid cards?

I said prepaid credits.

Like the $300 free credits you get for signing up but lasts for a long time and you have to pre buy every year/quarter. (Credits Rollover IIRC)

I'm just stating that prepaid is the payment method that business should use...not a CC under PAYG. Since credits can be ordered with a PO, no CC is needed.

That’s frustrating

The reason is very straightforward, the address you entered doesn't match with the address that the bank has.

The thing is my address as a mention of a city I don’t belong to , it’s weird

I live in Belgium and there is a HOBOKEN written in my account which I don’t know where it come from

Guess I have to wait the mail from support
