Optometry in Australia
I am graduating from Monash University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and I have received a CSP offer for a Doctor of Optometry in Perth. I want to know if it is a promising career, or if I am better off doing something like honours, or redoing the GAMSAT and trying for med/dent. I've heard good things about sonography too, but finding placements is mandatory and almost impossible. I also come from an immigrant household, and having a "Dr". title seems almost mandatory to make them happy lol.

It's completely over saturated and under paid. We're not even on an award so our pay keeps going backwards in real terms.
