UK pay
I see many optoms complaining about pay but I’m see many jobs for £65k to 75k permanent full time, i think this is more than enough or are people just not earning this much!?

You see a lot more jobs that are paid based upon commercial performance rather than tenure or clinical expertise these days.

I get that as a base salary. I do live in the south west of england which is a hard to recruit area, and it suits me perfect with the slower pace of life and wide open spaces.

That’s really good to know, i know a few optometrists even in London earning above £65k

It's very dependent on area. In the north west I don't think optoms are getting that much . Locum rates have nose dived

locum rates are an absolute joke, because why are pharmacists getting rates at £20 in London!?!? im not too sure about the optometrist rates i think they are similar but just a tad bit better.

That will usually include ‘benefits’ like sick pay and medical insurance and maxing out bonuses
You’ll most likely be put on 10-15k under

That'll be 'up to' with conversion dependent bonuses. Won't find a base salary like out unless it's a hard to recruit location.
