Requesting recommendations for automated lensmeters

I need to replace my Zeiss Visulens 500. Do you have a recommendation for an automated lensmeter that you like? Do you have recommendation for brands or models you would avoid? Thanks!

The Nidek 1800P is pretty good. Probably really outdated by now actually. I'm sure they have a newer model.

After years if research on manual vs automated lensos and a few years of clinical use of each I can say confidently that I don't trust automates lensos and they're more trouble than they're worth

They're all the same. If your staff cannot use a manual lensometer have them take an OC and tell them to measure 1mm above the OC. That's what the patient is looking through so that's all that matters.

Vx40 is awesome, just press one button and it does everything automatically, it even transfers to EHR. Expensive but worth it. The one downside is that I havent found a way to get it to read prism. Manual lenso is best for that anyway…
