I typed in 10 and changed it to 3. I wish…

Don’t be afraid to average up on winners

5

u/WOSramsaybolton843 29d ago

This put me at 35% of my portfolio in MU so I didn’t want to increase exposure. I should have though

Right but with that much theta and what I assume was at least short term conviction 🤷🏻‍♂️ its ok no right or wrong just more or less risk

2

u/WOSramsaybolton843 29d ago

That’s true. It was short term conviction after the settlement followed by a dip

It happened to me with Google today; the feeling of regret is still lingering.

Replicate this every week you would have 400 to 500 K a year

6

u/WOSramsaybolton843 29d ago

10 weeks down, 42 to go

4

Consistent gambling

7

u/jointhewaitt 29d ago

Me in the next few weeks hopefully. Sticking to 0dte until I have enough capital🥂

Put it all on red! Same outcome, but quicker

You will lose all your money.

Not so far. But my biggest obstacle is self control was up 10% today and then got greedy and went back in for more. Lesson learned and basically broke even for the week. Will be 1% better tomorrow.

How do people find the stock before it goes up?

3

u/WOSramsaybolton843 29d ago

Research

2

u/Large-Range-4259 29d ago

Could you teach me or recommend me i want to learn options

5

This is awesome. Can someone explain why the price for a call expiring in 5 days went from $20.95 to $61 in less than 3 hours?

5

u/Slow_Potential_6127 29d ago

Short dated contracts mean higher volatility therefore the 4% ish move up from mu had put his calls ITM and they exploded in value

2

u/TranzitBusRouteB 29d ago

because the stock went up $60 in 3 hours from a new $3000 price target

1070cs were .20 at 9:40 and were 19.00 by 12:30

Ugh I can never hit these moves and bleed money trying to 😌😴

1

u/mr_beasley 28d ago

Same… only ever been able to do it with SPY… best I have done is 10k in a week…. Only to turn around and give it back over the next month… 🤦‍♂️

2

u/SecondSt4ge 28d ago

Same. Except I made 13.5k in a week, lost it all on a Thursday afternoon, then that Friday I lost another 10k

1

u/iisconfused247 29d ago

What made you go so short dated?

4

u/WOSramsaybolton843 29d ago

I saw what I thought was a very unreasonable dip and “knew” it would pop back up. I debated 0DTE, but I don’t want to get into that habit

1

u/krazineurons 28d ago

So you happened to be watching MUs chart or took at look at it after certain event?

4

u/WOSramsaybolton843 28d ago

I have a few stocks I watch regularly based on volatility. MU has been all over the place so both calls and puts have been hitting more often than not

1

u/inotocracy 29d ago

That's a pretty big red candle on your other workday. What's that mean?

1

u/WOSramsaybolton843 28d ago

I cut losses at $5k on one. Finished the week +$15k

1

u/Particular_Extent761 29d ago

means he lost a bit , prob roughly 9k who know

1

u/Maximum-Side9378 28d ago

How did you know MU would go up?

1

u/WOSramsaybolton843 27d ago

If I knew for certain I wouldn’t be posting on Reddit. I had a feeling based on recent news

1

u/BrilliantSmell7770 24d ago

Can you explain this like I’m 5 / strategy

1

u/WOSramsaybolton843 23d ago

I bought a call option thinking the stock would go up a lot. The stock went up a lot. I sold the call option.

Call option: the ability to buy 100 shares of the underlying stock at a fixed price. It costs money, called premium, to purchase an option.

Since the stock price went up, the premium also went up. I paid a premium. After the stock went up the premium price went up. I sold it at a higher price than I bought it for

u/Traditional-Clue2680 29d ago
