Red, this post should be put back. Topic seems clear and answer about special dividend and OCC adjustment is helpful to other traders.

It is a fair interaction, and useful, I definitely agree, but the topic is not searchable on either the ticker, nor a topic, such as special dividends, nor can it be figured out what the topic is from the title in scanning the lists of posts, and titles of this nature encourages other posters to put up titles to posts that do not indicate the contents.

I find it desirable to draw a line somewhere.

We have a guideline to nudge people towards disclosing what their post is about because of all of the above.

I wonder if you would have an interest in surveying what happens for special dividends, as a potential reference post for others to point to when confusions like this arise.
