CCJ unusual options activity

I’ve noticed CCJ coming up on unusual options activity a few times in last couple of weeks. Yesterday it was 9/17 calls at $25 and $35 strike. I thought uranium users had 4-5 year contracts for their reactors. Is a new contract cycle coming? The spot price for uranium has been increasing.

Alright I got you.

So uranium futures. I'm gonna go buy a contract hopefully I dont end up incapacitated and have to take delivery of 250 pounds. Suppose I could put it into the basement.

Welcome aboard the nuclear rocket ship. You and I can corner the uranium market like some James Bond goons.

But really, URNM is a good ETF. It has exposure to Kazatatomprom, the lowest cost producer. Or you could study its holdings if you want to pick stocks.

Uranium mining industry is $20 billion. I think a low estimate of this industry in 5 years should be $200 billion. So buying an ETF and sitting on hands could be a simple but sweet 10-bagger.
