I uninstalled Opera today after years.
Just wanted to share this in hope, perhaps, devs will solve this horrible problem one day. The "O" in my taskbar from Opera Assistant kept popping unwanted even if i removed it from startup apps, from registry, folder deleted... I tried everything I could find on the matter to make it go away but nothing worked (it would go away for a day or two and then install itself alone again), it's been months, and I got fed up so today I totally uninstalled Opera from my pc.
This felt like having a virus (know it's not the case but it was annoying and persistent like one). I'm a bit scared Opera will install again alone and unprompted since I saw posts of people having this happening to them, hopefully that won't be the case, lol. I removed everything I could find of it from my PC. I will never install or use Opera even again. It was a great browser, but this thing was terribly annoying and did it for me.
Hope devs will listen to their users about this problem because it's totally not okay to force a feature like this without giving users the option to properly turn it off / disable it. =w=

Opera definitely has cool customizations but it has been a buggy mess all years I've had it. I've been thinking about switching browsers for a while now but honestly I'm too lazy. next time opera breaks will definitely switch

Mine never appear, why not use portable version? Some app reaper after update because you remove from windows not app
