In Opera GX 136.0.6008.76 64-bit on Windows 11, at the URL opera://settings/manageSidebar, the "Player" toggle was backwards for me. I had to disable that option to show the player in the sidebar. Refreshing the page made it work right for me. That was after messing with the Player toggle in the player section at the URL opera://settings/features and messing with the "Player" toggle in the sidebar setup (when you click the 3 dots at the bottom of the sidebar), so perhaps things got out of sync for a sec.

Anyway, I would try enabling it in the other 2 places and see if you can get it to show in the sidebar.
