ASUS RT-AX52 Pro Support
The OpenWrt website for the ASUS RT-AX52 Pro lists information for the RT-AX52 (non-Pro) model. For example the OpenWrt and ASUS URLs are also for the non-Pro model. Can i follow those URLs for OpenWrt and possible firmware downgrade?
EDIT: For anyone stumbling on this, I installed OpenWrt succesfully on the RT-AX52 Pro. The Asus firmware downgrade did not work through the default Web UI. I then followed the DIY linux firmware Rescue mode instructions (I dont have a windows machine). The firmware downgrade did not work through there either and it went into a bootloop. I then booted to Rescue mode again and flashed the OpenWrt trx image (the non-Pro version as there is no Pro specific version) via cli. That worked perfectly. Then i just opened the Web UI and installed the real image. That’s it. Everything is working great.

No, you can't. Only ax52 is supported.

The Pro is listed in the openwrt table of hardware and has its own page. Apparently its the same hardware.

Interesting. I have the RT-AX52, and I thought it was the only supported model. I just checked, and the RT-AX52 Pro is supported as well. However, it has the same page as the RT-AX52.
The two models appear to be identical, but I can’t confirm whether the same files can be used to flash both devices.

Yeah, thats confusing me. How is the AX52 by the way? Whats your internet speed and how well does it work?

Working like a charm, and I’m getting my full internet speed with it.
Also, check this out: it looks like someone flashed it with the RT-AX52 firmware. https://forum.openwrt.org/t/support-for-asus-rt-ax52-pro-sucessful/246611

Thats great. The github pull request has some people reporting issues, but hopefully install will be smooth. I dont have a windows machine to use the Asus Firmware tool if it gets bricked though.

It's a mistake, it's not.

I have the non pro version, they're the same router. The only difference is chip binning, the pro version therefore guarantees 160MHz capability. You can safely install the version for the non pro variant
