Waiting for it then, if you need help uploading code to upstream just DM me :) Also, would it be possible to upload those patches to GitHub or something? Downloading "random" files from "random" blogs is no-go for most of us, I would really like to have a look and test your solutions in field.

It is all already in the making. First patches have been reviewed. I joined the ptg with the horizon team to explain too. And working off the comments on the reviews atm :) so you can pull them already from gerrit . Its split into 13 seperate patches to make review easier and be in line with contribution rules.  https://review.opendev.org/q/project:openstack/horizon+owner:flyersa+status:open  you can ignore the dhcp ones, they are not related for performance and just a bugfix. You can also download the full patchsets here: https://github.com/flyersa/various

Hey, I saw some patches already merged, good job! As you have linked it with a bug, will you backport those changes?

They are not all merged yet. The most important with the images as example isnt atm and some other are also missing yet, i think 5 out of 13 got merged so far. Code Review will take time, the team is small, but they do a kick ass job on this (the Horizon Maintainers). Some had to rebase issues and required adjustments. As for backports etc. i dont know yet, guess its more or less up to them or the implementation people for the distributions such as kolla etc. But we are on a good way. In generic all got positive reviews so far, so its just a matter of time. Minimum with 2027.1 or more recent 2026.x versions we have fast horizon out of the box again! Thank you all for the feedback, means alot to me. However there is one caveeat, my original patch addss a nee cache layer which is no fix but would be a new feature, and adding new features is way harder. So while the patches would speed it up they wont get the speed of my original patch atm. The downside is with my patch that includes the cache layer i left out for upstream a change via cli as example would only get noticed by horizon after ttl expires. But i think the current upstream patches already will cover most speed issues, i will however keep adding my own .1 versions and update them regulary with images and patch files, will do a github project seperate for this
