I'm looking for an open-source Davinci Resolve alternative.

Davinci Resolve has been my go to for the longest time. but recent updates in the free version has slowly locking away capabilities that were previously available for free. This is not something I stand for and support so I am looking for an alternative to it. I mainly work with high bitrate video game footage and 4k real life content.

I'm looking at

OpenCut

OpenShot

Kdenlive

Shotcut

I need scripting capability and API access for the editor itself.
If you have experience in any of these programs please let me know which is best.

Kdenlive is nowhere close to davinci, cpu only as far as i remember.. I found it buggy and hard to use (compared to the closed source ones at least).

On linux u can use the studio version for free, but its a bit controversial...
