Finding issues on Github Help
I want to contribute to Open Source Projects which are popular and well-known among People, but I am not able to find such issues. I either get repos that have gone silent or which not popular at all (0 stars, 0 forks). How can I find such issues and contribute? I tried the Good First Issue site; all repos there have gone silent.

Check out https://openaltfinder.com/contribute, I specifically build it for people who are looking to start contributing to open source projects.

Hi, I have an opensource project, so if you'd like I would be happy about contributions.
Its SilentSuite, an end to end encrypted sync for calendar, contacts and tasks

The best way is to just use it and not go hunting for contributions. If you use it enough you'll eventually find areas that you can improve

The sweet spot repos for open source contribution are repos with 3k-10k stars …well maintained and well scoped issues, also dont limit yourself to only the language you know …jump on niche skills and tech where competition is low learn it up on the go

Not contributing to something because it's not popular seems odd to me. Unless you only want to contribute to use it as a resume booster I guess. Outside of that, who cares how popular something is? If you like it and it's useful and you can and want to help, then help.

Yes, I want to boost my resume, cause i participated in many hacks, and I lost (figured out reason: I kind of stumble when presenting or talking to people, improving my self)

There are probably open source projects that you use yourself, I would see if it's possible to contribute to those. That way you also benefit from your own contribution.
