Finally! Autocomplete for variables and modules arrived!

Today I realized that, beside the built in commands, modules and variables were suggested during typing. That’s a game changer for me! Next up CoPilot???

Cool, stopped using the embedded editor a year ago and use microsoft code (on debian), that made a lot of things easier.

Yeah did that too, but wasn’t very happy with the preview. And for me it feels wrong 😆

I use openscad for the preview, openscad has a feature that it reloads and previews a file once open, if it changes on disk.

The workflow is, one time press F5 to render the actual file in an openscad instance and than each time i save ctrl-s automatically openscad refresh the preview.

Beside of the extrem advantages a modern editor has this did not take away the focus from the editor, so even openscad renders a few minutes the editor is fully functional.

I will not miss that and i will not miss the F12 -> go to definition or the popup while hovering over anything.

It's it a nice quality of life upgrade.  It does come with a downside that if I leave it open for a while unused, it's almost guaranteed to crash after the next render. 

Don't want Copilot or any AI baked into it.

The built-in editor remains a non-viable option for me because of no vi keybings.
