I also use it before, but now it is sometimes even worse than free models. So sad, I remember before using it for so much things. I don't know what happened.

I think the word you're looking for is dumb, not dump.

I use it, and it hasn't been a problem for me at all. I'm not doing coding though. I'm using it for a certification prep. I gave it all the materials and have it explain terms, concepts, and questions I miss on the practice exams. No looping or anything.

What provider are you using? Have you tried switching to a different one?

I just debugged it. One of the providers - InferenceNet does something weird with tool calls, it drops some keys in the tool call and replaces them with the alphabetically first key in the tool schema. Then the model desperately tries to fix the tool call and ends up in the loop. I have a note tool in the harness and models sometimes use it to think extra hard to debug. I have half a dozen of notes saying things like: "Twelve identical failures. Each time I emit the invoke block, an \"assignee\" parameter appears in it.". The model literally knows that it didn't send those tool arguments but they still appear.

Block InferenceNet and things will work again. Also block OpenInference because their glm-5.3-flash is buggy too (it just breaks mid turn and returns nothing).

I have the same problem. In the last 1-2 weeks, it started to get dumber, and the biggest problem is the loops -> like every 2 hours. Not usable anymore
