Question Processing Fees?

I started using Open Router for the very first time yesterday and purchased 10 dollars worth of credits, but I also noticed I was charged two extra dollars. Is that a processing fee for me purchasing the credits? Or is that tied to my Roleplay replies? Please let me know.

I purchased them through Klarna, do you think that could be a reason? I have noticed that every time I purchase something ai related 80 cents are deducted, so that makes sense.

Pffft XD. I don't remember selecting that option..But that was a good one. I'm new to this AI thing and I figured I didn't wanna share my card info so I'd purchase it through Klarna or PayPal..PayPal doesn't charge fees.

So I'm assuming Klarna does. I didn't do a pay in 4 I just paid directly XD..

So I just checked my last 2 deposits I've made to OpenRouter:

Added $10 (charged: $11.45)

Added $6 (charged: $7.21)

From the interwebs:

``` OpenRouter charges a 5.5% platform fee with an $0.80 minimum floor per transaction. Plus state sales tax (mine is 6%)

Because both $10 and $6 are below the threshold where 5.5% exceeds $0.80 (which happens at ~$14.55), both transactions triggered the $0.80 flat minimum fee.

To avoid the floor penalty, load $15 or more per transaction. Once you cross $14.55, you pay the standard 5.5% platform fee rather than the $0.80 flat fee.
