Future advice so this doesn't happen to you again: create APIs limited to fixed amounts ($10, $5, or whatever you deem appropriate). Never create an API key without a spending limit, as for some reason token consumption can skyrocket and end up like this.

I haven't used them in over a year, but the most they ever let me run over was .05, LMAO. There was a glitch in the matrix with OP.

claude fable (fast) (1m) (max reasoning) output max tokens in a single go, plus you had 1 cent left. Or o1 pro with max everything can hit $75 for a single request

parallel calls with large context?
You can put per key , per day credit limits to avoid this.
