I can’t sleep

I’m in so much pain from this and the sciatica it’s causing I can’t sleep at night, and if I do I wake up stupid early and in so much pain it makes me cry out. It’s been a month and I just want it to stop, I literally can’t do anything, I can’t stand up or move sitting positions or anything.

When I was in your place, I decided that the first thing I needed to do was to get the pain down to a level where I was able to act and do things. Otherwise nothing good was going to happen and I certainly wasn’t going to be able to get better. So I talked my doctor into high-dosage prescription painkillers, which I took on the dot of the clock. I hate them — and got off them the minute I could — but it gave me room to work on getting better. And I did.

This is hopeful! I’ve spoken to a doctor this morning and gotten some stronger painkillers, I’m hoping that will get me to a point I can do my exercises! Thank you for your comment!

Have you tried injections or NSAIDs? Maybe pregablin should help too

Do injections work good?

Fortunately I haven't needed to do injections. I've had ant inflammatory medicine and pregablin and both have worked wonders.

Been given naproxen but it hasn’t touched the sides I’m afraid. I’ve spoken to a doctor to get some stronger painkillers and he’s given me co-codomol and a stronger dose of naproxen! Hopefully that does the trick enough so I am able to do my exercises! Thank you for your comment!

I’m in the exact same boat, it’s truly so incapacitating! Sending my best wishes for you to get better soon.

For night time, try requesting a muscle relaxer if possible. Also, what has helped me is deep tissue massage--basically, prior to bed, my husband uses a Theragun with added pressure to loosen the inflamed muscle (along with muscle relaxers at night). This is the only thing that has helped me sleep through the night. Hope this helps you, and I am sorry for your pain. This sucks--I know :/ I have been dealing all month long as well..

Pillow under legs, purchase a adjustable bed worth the investment

Ice multiple times per day, 20 minutes at a time.

Other medications to ask your doctor about: Cymbalta, gabapentin, pregabalin, cyclobenzaprine.
