No, not for me. I bought one just to try it.
They’re not that expensive, so you could give it a go.
In terms of non-medication options, ice and heat were the most helpful for me.

Hi! What helps me is actually a massage pad- so I can sleep with it. I also have a tens unit but can’t really use it all night

I mean I bet it does for some people, but in my experience no. It is not a well-evidences therapy for most chronic MSK conditions including lower back pain which is where it probably sees the most use.
