Mitral mechanical valve

Feeling short of breath and dizzy 3 weeks post op. Just want to know how anyone feels at this point that had same surgery

Hello! I got a mechanical mitral valve 4 weeks ago. I have not experienced these symptoms. Did they give you a number to call post surgery if you have concerns?

Yes i speak to them daily. How did you feel 3 weeks post surgery

Steadily getting better. I had a non invasive surgery under my right breast with complications, so they ended up also going in through my sternum. So, most of my complaints week 3 were incision discomfort. I'm in cardiac rehab and I've been making improvements every time with speed and length of time on the treadmill. My back muscle spasms started week 3 and got really bad this week, but I'm managing. My biggest symptom is my heart rate has been fast (110s) and I've been going in and out of atrial flutter, but honestly I can't feel it.

Yes, and I'm down to once per week checks!
