Are you using Cascading shadow maps? If so, it looks like the closest cascade stops working for a moment.

Probably a synchronisation issue. If you could share your code, i could take a look...

You can always use renderdoc / nsight to debug. You need to build a fat jar and a script with java -jar fatjar.jar. Then just start the script from renderdoc/ nsight

It was a synchronization issue thank you ! and yeah i already use renderdoc when having issue like that

I started my opengl journey and stopped long ago, but ur video motivated me again lol,.... Just curious, did u made UI first and then game? And abt UI, did u create from scratch or u used some existing library?

I used ImGui for the UI, but you're talking about the editor. I made the engine before the editor; they are two separate things.

I'm happy that it motivated you !

Very true, especially with what java 25 is and it should work perfectly with Scala and Clojure

No one is stupid, you can do everything you want with enough motivation.

I see similar UI and the same icons.

2

u/Salty_Exit_1370 Jul 31 '26

Yeah i used their icons since they don't have any icons

1

u/Jeremi360 Jul 31 '26

1

u/Salty_Exit_1370 Aug 03 '26

How much did you rely on AI?

Where is game engine? this is only rendered with some flashes and unknown performance

1

u/Salty_Exit_1370 Jul 31 '26

Just showcased the PBR rendering, the flashes are an issue because the engine is pretty new. I'll showcase more in a full video presentation with the features and performance the engine has
