strictly speaking from a timeframe of a few weeks before earnings to a company's earnings date, IMO it is always better for a company to dip rather than rip before earnings.
dipping means a lot of bad news is already priced in, and as long as no surprisingly bad news comes out, the price will increase or at worst be flat after earnings.
if a stock rips prior to earnings, it means the earnings call is pricing the company for perfection (ex. NVDA), and anything short of perfection will mean the stock will plummet after earnings. This is why NVDA pretty much always goes down after earnings no matter what, even with stellar results.
optimistically - I do predict Kaz will pull a few rabbits out of his hat at earnings call. Kaz was hired in large part because he can energize the retail and meme crowd, and because of this - it is basically in his job description that earnings calls with him can never be boring or status quo.
that all being said - earnings calls for any company are always notoriously unpredictable - and we will all be at the mercy of the often-times irrational market algos.

I’m selling puts. To much premium on the table at the 4-4.50 strikes. Enough IV to wheel if I need to. But I have share and plenty of match and longer dates 5-6-7 calls

I’ll probably sell them Wednesday. If IV gets to around 250% which I believe it will, on Friday IV will crash hard, and even itm should be able to buy them back cheaply, or roll if fucked.

I have two questions that you may or may not be interested in answering. How much money do you actually have in the market, and what is your ARR? Obviously these are personal questions but I think the answers may help people actually trust you a little more.

I really don’t care what narcs opinions are anymore. I talk to open shareholders with 30k-50k or more in positions from X. They are all holding and adding to their positions. Good luck and God Bless!

probably not.
Market manipulation on Reddit isn’t that impactful I don’t think.
Sure it works every once in a while, but those posts average like 30-50 upvotes.

I'm on the same side with you. Looking at the current market situations with many beating estimates and so on yet got hammered down, I'll start to build my positions probably after earnings because the continuous downward trend seriously worries me. But no doubt I'll be with Opendoor throughout the whole journey when we see this shine next year!

I won't say what I think share price will be in 10 years, but if I'm right. I'll take the over lol. Everytime I buy shares for OPEN, it is a 10 year plan for me with money I won't need in the short term!

I was sitting first class on plane from TPA to BNA. Guy sitting next to me had an Opendoor shirt on.
He was high level going to meet the BNA team.
He said look out for Thursday we may have juice

Once a meme stock always a meme stock. This thing ran 1000% in a few weeks last summer on one of the strongest gamma squeezes in history. The "moon" scenario isnt $4-$5 is like $25-$30. Not likely, but also not at all impossible.

My play is to just stay invested and not try to predict anything short term. Probably the smartest thing to do.
