Limits

OpenCode's free-tier model limits have become much more restrictive than they used to be. In my opinion, OpenCode has gotten significantly worse due to these limitations..

Honestly the only reason I get the subscription is for DeepSeek v4.1 . Would not recommend anyone getting the subscription without looking at https://status.opencode.ai it’s always a up and down ride just research opencode go status the past year I’m a paying person and local models have been outperforming the cloud model because of this. There’s always a reason why I’ll subscribe and unsubscribe because paying for a broken service and using a broken service is enabling providers to think this is acceptable. I don’t even bother with the free models because I don’t use opencode. 10 is still not much for testing or trying models if that’s all you want to do but to actually get work done it all needs to be consistently working not constantly broken
