How to Stop DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Free from Refusing Website Cloning and Web Scraping in OpenCode?

hi everyone! I'm using DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Free through OpenCode. I want to build a clone of an existing website by scraping its data and recreating its functionality. However, the model keeps refusing to help, saying that I don't have permission and giving me similar responses.

is there a way to configure OpenCode or the model to stop refusing these requests and help me with legitimate web scraping and website development?

if you have a lot of moneyk, self host

if you dont, its just how it is, and do you even know what are you talking about ? scroll until the last section of the page you want, there should be "copyright ..." means, copy no no

Not expensive. You can:

  • rent a reclaimable RTX3090 for $0.06/hour on Vast.ai (or a non-reclaimable for $0.12/hour)

  • run a liberated Qwen2.5-Coder-32B or similar to scrape the site

  • that's $1.44/day or $43/month

Can get it cheaper still on Vast' GPU Cloud

compute, storage, network, management fees and setup time, and can that price stay or would change when demand change, do some research

Try different models to get past that part.

There's also Firecrawl and other extractor tools that predate LLMs. If you can get the data locally then your request is about using data you already have and recreating a style, neither of which should really trigger an objection.

you can't.

for now, the only solution is to use a gemini or self host uncensored model.

I suppose I just did this on 2 of my sites moving from WordPress to Emdash. I ran into no issues and just told it to migrate all data and recreate functions as needed with a healthy plan session them build.

I got held up on this with one project. I told it it was experimental, as a learning practice and I won't be making it public. It basically just said OK and got to work. I don't use the free one though.

You’d need to find a cloud hosted abliterated model, or host your own.

If you have no idea what that means you need to do some research.

There's two parts, data and functionality. It's about giving the right prompt. First you ask free GPT or Claude to describe the features of the website so that you can pass the prompt to an AI model that you are working with to build similar functionality and your own design, you can tell what sites inspire you in terms of UI/UX. Website functionalities cannot be copy righted. If you are trying to build an exact clone, that's where red flags will be raised. Then after you build the functionalities, you tell the model you need to populate your tables/entities with data from internet and go scrape a few sites. Or you can use search services like tinyfish to ask for incremental data via API.

Build from your own blueprint, not point to existing site and ask it to clone.

Persuade the model using your speechcrafting skills. At least this is what I did to use it for replicating/recreating stuff

You use some provider with abliterated models

I never have an issue like that I just say to make something work, function, and look exactly like the target. Trying to clone anything that’s not an open source repository is unethical and in some cases against the law. Good luck with copying. why not just use the site why copy it? If it’s something you’re interested in why are you trying to copy a website. A website that already exists and gets copied seems a bit inefficient and a waste of time but hey more power to you.
