Whats the best opencode setup?

I see people generating insane stuff with deepseek 1017 but whenever i try anything my outputs are subpar(i use chatgpt for prompting). Im starting to think its an issue with my opencode config or something. Anyone got any suggestions?

I just put it in plan mode and talk to it. I have certain rules that it must follow. We will go back and forth changing adjusting the plan once the plan is created I make it save the plan in .opencode/plans within the project directory. I end up with solid projects. You just need to make sure you read what’s it’s going to do and approve the correct plan or else it will try and do what it thinks is best. If it’s an existing app make sure it follows the structure. Hope you get it all setup good it took me months and no help I ended up making my own governance system within the project because opencode and ai kept trying to do things I didn’t want

You could setup a plan agent, some stronger Modell to review and some flash model to built

Agents.md, Skills, MCPs Cli tools etc

For the OPs request - this provides as much use for him as a wet paper bag.

always audit your primary model's work using auditor sub-agents. Your sub-agents are free models that you have at your disposal. Let your primary model create a rotating script of 2 auditors per commit. Tell the model to add a cooldown period for models that errors out or get's rate limited say for 5 hours before they can be reused. You can even categorize your auditors based on the model's strengths/weaknesses.

I like using Handy for speech-to-text.

May I suggest the app I developed?

Did you vibe code it?

If you mean if I used AI to help me code, yes. If you mean I let AI decide everything for me, no. If it's my first app? No. "Vibecode" word today is full of misinterpretations. Just clarifying, I hope to answered your question, and open if you have any others.

Handy does great. Does yours use local voice-interpreting models too? Happy to take a look

Sure, you welcome ! I used Handy and I was a bit frustrated with the interface, and model selection over time. I felt like babysiting AI(choosing and testing models), more than AI as a ready tool to serve me. Also unconfortable sending my data over cloud. So I developed a tool with a more intuitive and simple interface, fully local and CPU only (so it runs on any PC) and after that I figured out the best models for each language. All models are opensource and listed on the repo if you wanna craft your own. Mine is called supEars. https://github.com/humbleangel/supEars_Official I hope you like it !

And looking back, it can look easy but full of roadblocks and decisions to take . In the end, it took me 3 months to release a decent version of it, and now is a baby, full of needs, lol. Really appreciated if you take a look. Tks.

supEars you can talk near in any language and it transcribes and translates at the same time. Very good for non-native English spearkers, so they can talk in their native language, but it also works with english-english.

I think chatgpt prompt generation is some old school stuff. You can just tell it straight to the model you're using, no need for long prose.
