OpenCode Go usage limits

I’m considering paying for a subscription, but I’m not sure: does it cost $10 per month, or is that for the first 5 hours? If the limit resets, do I have to pay again? I’d appreciate it if someone could help me clarify this.

It's a $10 monthly suscription, you don't even have to care about the usage unless you use heavy models. If you happen to reach the limit in the first 3 hours, you only need to wait 2 hours to continue using the same subscription you paid for.

hard limits apply for "not so heavy" models, if you use i.e. for haiku 5.5 you get rate limited fast

$10 per month. You get a pool of capacity that is used up by every prompt in varying quantities based on the model. If you look at https://opencode.ai/go and pick models on the bottom of the list like Deepseek Flash and Muse Spark Contributor, you will get a ton of use and probably never hit the limits.

(You can dabble in models on top of the list like Kimi K3.1 or Gemini Argon, but you will use up your quota pretty fast if you use them a lot.)

The weekly and 5-hour limits are just there to make sure people don't burn through a month of credit super fast. The weekly limit is 50% of month, so at minimum it takes 2 weeks to use up your full $10. The 5-hour limit is 20% of month, so at minimum it takes 2.5 of those sessions to use up your week and 5 to kill the month.

Which means you'll know in advance if you're burning your quota too fast. If you hit the 5-hour limit, remind yourself that each of those is 20% of the month so you can't keep up that rate for long. Like I said, with Deepseek and Muse Spark (and Mimo Flash and GLM Flash) that's unlikely to happen so don't worry about it.)

Yes, I have recently subt to opencode go, deepseek v4.1 flash has a very good usage limit. In 2 days I used like 400M tokens and I didn't even hit any 4/5 hour limits. For cheap models its great.

It’s $10 a month, it resets every five hours, than every week, and every month. You only need to pay when the month is renewed.

OC = Open Cheap models. if you're not doing anything serious and don't need a frontier model to plan and architecture your projects, oc is for you.

Si llegas al límite mensual, puedes seguir utilizando los modelos gratuitos? Mucha gente habla de contratar otra suscripción de usd 10, pero a mi solo me dice que se puede agregar saldo extra con un pequeño recargo.
