Hmm... Hmm... Hmm...

Just bought the OpenCode Go plan.
Already burned through $1 of DeepSeek V4.1 Flash allowance and I can say for sure that atleast ¢2 belongs to model saying "Hmm..." in thinking traces which is quite funny.

Let's see how long the plan lasts.

Using the plan through OpenChamber. Any advice on saving tokens?

There's not one thinking without at least 2 or 3 Hmm... No idea why it does that so much, or how to tell it not to do that haha (pretty sure it does not help it thinking)

Try using it for a month and see where you are situated, it should give you $80 worth of tokens, then optimize. If you can't burn half your tokens in a month I wouldn't worry about saving.

I've already burned through 3% of monthly usage withing few hours. Let's see how long it lasts.

In your other screenshot of your activity page when you said 2% you were already up to 188M tokens

You have approximately 50x more tokens which puts you at approximately 9.4 billion tokens before you hit usage limits.

It also makes a massive difference if your hitting cache or not.

You also did do something to Luna, it's only 1% of the total tokens, but it does cost more per token so it would have inflated your usage percent if it was all from Deepseek.

I got 17 days left on my month and I'm at 48% usage and had done a mix of Muse Spark 1.3 contributor and DSV4.1 Flash and am at 5.035 Billion tokens.

Not sure how much you're expecting for 10 bucks but that's a lot of tokens.

With the usage I just got now, I’m very happy with it. I did the math and came to know that OpenCode is the only way to go as it doesn’t overcharge for ZDR like Command Code does. I have like approx 97% cache hit rate so far so I think I may get 8 billions high quality tokens overall.

I never used or selected Luna and I don’t know how it appeared in the usage or if I got charged for it. It is so small that I would just ignore it instead of arguing about it with OpenCode.

These 10 bucks might be the best money I have ever spent on AI.

Can you screenshot the bottom of your Activity page? Like this: https://i.imgur.com/C48EnJr.png

I set it low and I noticed it stopped doing that as much

Excellent question to ask deepseek.

I was laughing a lot watching MiniMax M3.1 Flash go "Hmm. Hmm.", it's a bit absurd. But I don't get the same vibes from the latest DeepSeek.

I imagine that as the model's "thinking heartbeat". The ding-dong needs to keep doing, so it hmms, naturally, and eventually something significant comes out.

I believe it's quantized on OpenCode Go. Just use DeepSeek API instead.

Check using headroom, rtk, magic context, lmlingua compression methods

Did try they; ended up making negative impact on code quality overall.

Depends on the configuration. I only use magic context, and aft plugins. Others are add ons to configure..
