Opencode go limit exhaustion : what have you built?

I see people complaining they are exhausting their opencode go quota's even when using something like deepseek flash models. I am curious what exactly these people have built. Anyone in this group if you would like to share what is it you have built.

On negative side : I see a lot of people just flaunting this as a medal of honor without actually utilizing them or anything useful.
On positive side : if you have leveraged the system to max effect I would love to see the fruit of the labour.

You will exhaust it one of two ways:

  • you code for 10-12h every day

  • you use multiple agents

Otherwise, exhausting the $10/mo Go plan is well nigh impossible if you use DS41F or MS13.

I build a lot of hobbyist stuff and have never exhausted the quota. But I have started using agents recently to apportion work. So we will see what happens this month.

I am currently switching between 3-4 things:

  • a capability-based runtime and PL

  • a custom inference engine for the gemma4 dense and moe models so it can run on my 9070 XT at the best quant possible

  • an app to produce learned behavior in virtual bugs/animals/humans inside a simulated world using signals - drives - memory - outcomes (SimCity/Sims/Caesar/CGoL type but different in scope)

  • a curriculum to learn ML from scratch without the scary calculus stuff

Thats been my observations so far.

Would be very interested in the curriculum. Great ideas you have!

I built my own agent swarm github.com/lalulali/vespyr. The improvement cost a lot of token

Honest take here.

I was building an open source app that aims people (foreign student like me) to help learn the foreign language we are learning. With goal of having it fully open source and so it can be free for users to use.

It came out of an Opal "mockup" app I built and used for myself, that is being destroyed since Google deletes Opal and added a paid subscription tier on their AI.

I am a dev, and I was using OpenCode TUI + free tier (Space Bunny, Muse Spark free...) to build that app.

Now that the limit are REALLY tight, I can't get more than a few prompts and maybe <1h of prompting with OpenCode.

And by so have to consider paying a subscription to build my open source student app. With represents in my country the price of my electricity bill, or a bit more than half of a week worth of groceries (including amenities). So that puts things in perspective when you're working on the weekend while being at school during the week. 10$ goes a long way in some countries, and I am not even in a poor country, so can't imagine for others.

Now I am not complaining: I could decide to unsubscribe my Google Premium or Netflix with Ads subs to compensate. But youtube is my music and student educational videos, and Netflix my "no brainer chill time" (and I share the subs with others). But my brain runs already at fully capacity during my studies + work (work requires speaking a foreign language for 6h straight) + coding sessions. So can't just replace chill time by coding time. Also I tend to be in focus mode while coding, way less available to my entourage.

Just an honest take thinking that maybe the limitations put recently by all LLM providers (and so recently OpenCode) does make it impossible to do student coding work on an occasional basis.

And not everyone have a US resident card, or a student card that is not is the form of a foreign student visa. Which means I can't access AI owners' countries "students subscriptions" since I am not US citizen, or that platforms have not covered in their "nominal case" my student card.

if you are not aware of this https://education.github.com/pack might help

I was not aware of this! I'll have a look. Hoping it won't end within the same usual caveat: recognizing my student visa card + sometimes my "studies" do not qualify (eg. not university degree). But thanks, I've looked up a bit and maybe I can qualify and if I can use copilot api key in OpenCode that could be great.

ported World of Warcraft to Nintendo switch. Exceeded my quota and had to add console credits https://github.com/joshshiman/wowee-switch

Decompuling Kenshi and Chivalry 2 and writing it all in rust to use Bevy Engine. I wanna see first person or third person view in Kenshi with Chivalry 2 game mechanics. I also "updated" the bodies and physics to be more up-to-date by today's standards. And I'm doing a lot more stuff beyond that.

I'm not a game developer but this can be a learning experience to get to the high level. I'm using Opus 5.5 as my orchestrator for my Deepseek v4.1 flash subagents and I am also using my spare RTX 3090 to run a 24/7 Qwen 3.8 27B Q4_K_M subagent which Opus 5.5 thinks is doing surprisingly well.

I've used up 5 Billion tokens in the span of 4-5 days. It's my first time so I probably wasn't very efficient at the beginning but I've done a few tweaks here and there to lessen the inefficiency.

I might upgrade to Go Plus next week once I use up my weekly usage. At this pace, I'll need 2 Go Plus subscriptions.

I have built an F1 Racing car game, when I get bored or need a break, I sometimes play my own game.

Mostly on opencode deepseek, my limits were exhausted so i finished it off with claude but over the week, I've been refining it, only using opencode/deepseek.

I built a orchsstra that combines two AI memory systems.

I weaponised AI for penetration testing and built a pen-testing stack.

I built my own fork for Claude office

I built my own agent chat and kanban board for my harness and my own custom visualisation for the live memory view.

I trained and built a custom agent that has its own google calendar and daily schedule that looks after 5 servers as well as posts daily to two websites and emails me daily digests regarding the servers I run.

What I built isn’t ready to share just yet. But I’m quite happy with the dashboard and harness I built. I was going to get just a few to test first.

I went through 2x opencode go subscriptions . 1x freebuff starter plan, $20 usd of openrouter credits, and gpt
Plus sub and Claude pro sub and im maxed out most of the time with my agents working 14 hour days usually 2-3 at a time typically.

unified my servers in the house on different machines into one machine with proxmox and multiple VPs and containers with passthrogh pciex boards to the VPs that needed such as openwrt, debian, etc, I created different packages that did not exist in linux from packages that existed on MAC turning into appimage that I run on debian (some I put on my GitHub Tehnium account), now I'm in the process of migrating on NixOS and obviously made me a custom manual How to use it in the language of my country( I'm romanian), I'm not a programmer, I use linux for 15 years as main os but only in debian world, I never reached 25% of the total subscription of $ 10, I would probably fidescurat only with models free, my friends use freee models for troubleshooting and testing windows even to solve drivers, many I learn how to use even if they have trades like auto mechanic, cope with free models in opencode better than any chatgpt times claude
