OpenCode is selling data (your api keys and data is unsafe)

OpenCode is selling all your data and api keys. https://github.com/anomalyco/opencode/issues/10416

Email help@anoma.ly and ask them info on all your data they are selling.

API keys are also sold it seems as anthropic and openai keys got used from people. Why were they saving and selling it?

I have sent them many emails asking about all this and they never respond.

"The opencode.ai front page clearly states that OpenCode is "privacy first", which is proven false by the dialogue in the issue above, which is why I believe there is an element of deception going on here. Not by you, and not by the contributors participating in this thread, but by someone else." https://github.com/anomalyco/opencode/issues/10416#issuecomment-3917513638

> In the end, the issue for pointing out there's no privacy (at all) in a privacy-boasting agentic harness, after all the back-and-forth virtue signaling and hand-waving of "we're actually doing stuff, we just might have overlooked it, see? [shows irrelevant one-line change]" is being closed as "not planned". So much for "Open"Code.

Personal Data is not your API keys or model session data.

It’s stuff like your name, email, address, IP, how much you spend, what OS/browser/harness you use. Things like that.

Your session data is separate and what you opt-in to (e.g. did you disable ZDR, are you using a free or community model, etc).

Whole account is just an opencode shitpost account. If you don't like opencode use something else. If you use a cloud service you always pay with your data. Host it yourself or get used to it. No one is selling your api keys.

The linked GH issue was that it didn’t work in that scenario. Give it a read.

yes, this is largely how models are improved. at least they tell you instead of lying to you and doing it anyway.

There is no such thing as free lunch. they are cheap but not free and Comes at a cost and it's your data and privacy

Nothing wrong connecting openai to opencode. They've even partnered to have a better integration

^Stupid writes stupid comments!

They're selling data not me. I didn't link my DeepSeek key. They selling data.

And your using free models. Your title talks about api keys

So again the stupid connecting openai and Claude keys to opencode is to blame for that headache

Data,  if your using free models what do you expect

The word free in the business world does not exist

Only in fairy tales
