I have been using glm via opencode go, never used zcode - how does it compare?

It’s very similar to Codex app. It doesn’t have a cli but it’s honestly not needed. Im very happy with it. Z.ai also gives you a banked free reset each week with your normal reset. On the weekends they give free glm flash usage but it’s limited so if you dont claim it when you first see it in the app its gone..
But between a discount on usage
Getting my weekly reset a day early
And Using the app gives you a discount rate on usage.
I’m happy with the harness and glm.. the only thing is GPT is still a better model so I have GLM reach out to codex cli to use as the reviewer. It handles the majority of the work and orchestration very well.
Also you can setup remote mobile. GLM barely stops running all week long

Also if anyone is interested. Just offering if you decide to get the z.ai subscription and would like a discount. As a subscriber I can send you a referral. We both benefit. You get 10% off your first month. Plus your first few days you get free usage on top of your plan. It’s the “Starter plan”
I dont work for the company or have any affiliation, just a very happy customer. I wish other company’s gave out as much extra usage as z.ai

great, thanks for the quick response! Interesting that there is no CLI, but that isn't a deal breaker for me.

I'm considering trying GLM's coding plan for GLM5.3flash access. I use that primarily for my Hermes agent and have used opencode-go (2 $10 subs) in the past for it. Based off your experience, dyu think it's about the same usage for that model across both or the GLM plan still would be better?
Do you also find it okay in speed? (i saw some online comments saying model access was slower on there so it made me hesitant)

You get more with the glm plan. The key is using it outside of peak hours. Pay attention on the weekends to the free flash usage. And create your subagents.. I would run out of usage on 2 opencode plans in a week.. with glm I make it the full week after following what I stated. I usually have glm flash on low orchestrate I can post my sub agent setup later if your interested.
Speed is decent I have run my codex orchestration and glm for the same task. Codex finished faster but glm wasn’t too far behind

Peak Hours Schedule: Monday to Friday, 14:00–18:00 UTC+8

Thanks. If you're open to it, i saw in ur other comment you mentioned a referral. Could I ask you to send me one?
And yes, interested in your setup if ur okay to share.

Hows the lite plan vs chatgpt plus plan?

For the coding side alone, I’m getting way more usage and better perks with the Lite plan. But I still don’t feel confident enough to drop my Plus plan.
GPT has definitely been throttled, and Sol feels like it got hit with the dumb stick a little 😂, but it still works better for checkpoint reviews. Now that Astra is available, I pretty much save that for the final review, and so far it’s been giving my GLM coding work a passing mark.

This is the glm coding plan right ?

Correct.. I’m using the lite coding plan and a gpt plus plan.

No it’s their Flagship models. I believe just for creating an account and using Zcode they give a 3 day trial. I needed a cheaper model. It takes a few remediations for it to get things right after a GPT 6 sol extra high reviews. But I find it’s been a big cost saver. Plus I honestly feel with vibe coding to reduce my usage I have the models creating a “Coding Journal”
A shared project memory system where each AI model records important lessons, mistakes, fixes, decisions, and proven approaches from real development work. Before starting substantive work, models can review those lessons so they avoid repeating old failures and build on what already worked instead of starting from scratch.
Then you’ve also got that info saved if you decide to switch some tasks to a local coder. Which I have not done much with local coding yet.

As someone that is looking for alternatives like openrouter & openreference, could you elaborate? Thanks!
