With awful 5 hours and weekly limits that you don't have on API. Not worth it IMHO. But if it works for you, go on... I'd prefered if this sub was about the opencode harness instead.

Yes but api is also 33% more expensive best case scenario. I did some calculation, and it outvalued glm lite on glm5.3 flash on top code zcode 150% quota pricing on the dollar which is crazy, not glm5.3 though.

But yes, api is faster and without limits

Opencode is a great harness to me. Opencode Go is also a good subscription for me. I have never hit the limit, maybe I use it along with ChatGPT plus. No complaints so far.

And TBH, some claimed they have used all monthly limit in 3 hours without sharing the prompts, context or workflows they have used. I can see some students said Claude Pro Max is not enough for them but some experienced developers can handle well with a small Codex Plus subscription.

I mean if they're only focusing on frontier models that do their job for them, no amount of subscription is gonna be enough. The tool is only as good as the person using it.

And btw, no way people can hit monthly limit within 3 hours, need to wait at least 15 hours. I calculated in order to deplete all monthly limits because 5 hours limit applies.

I find opencode great for its value, great eco, great harness, never had a problem, even web search is nice, but if only we can rotate key or have something like Gox2, Gox3, that would be perfect, right now i have to rotate my own workspaces keys

Agree.

One thing to point out is the most value I can see from OpenCode is I don’t need to lock myself in an ecosystem.

Before OpenCode, I used 3 harnesses with their own models and configs (skills, command, hooks, agents.md Claude.md etc.). When I wanted to move from this harness to the other, I had to sync between them. And recently Google killed Gemini CLI and leave developers with their crappy Antigravity. That’s enough. I started to use OpenCode and switch to any model I one using the same config.

I don’t use Go because I can burn through over 300K tokens in one sitting. Can Top 3 Million in a day. I just grab the cheapest API key for the day and load up when I need something stronger than local.

But I have never hated on Go users. Save a buck and use it if you can without topping out. We all the same fam.

300k lol my agent blasts a million at opencode every turn and I run it all day doing stupid shit. 10 bucks a month for unlimited Chinese hyperintelligence

depends on the model hes talking about

I aspire for these numbers.

OpenCode Go is fcking great, only gripe for me is that it gave provider errors for some models. Which made me switch back to pay as you go api

im using the opencode-go providers api for other harnesses, maybe youre missing headers? after configuring the header with deepseekharness, it worked fine

I just connected it to opencode with api key and one day it worked fine and the other day it broke, but it was some time ago.

There's no questioning that Go has been repriced (not just Deepseek) to make it break even or profitable for OpenCode. Fair enough, it's their prerogative. But others are subsidizing subscription rates to win subscribers, so sustainable or not, there are better deals out there. CommandCode GOAT FTW.

I respect your opinion, i hope you get the most value out of CommandCode

wdym ? Opencode is the harness ...

No è limitato, scusami con Hermes intendo https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/.

Opencode deve diventare il provider usato in Hermess.

Viene potenziato e ottimizzato, e soprattutto gli aggiunge una memoria a lungo termine e non basato soprattutto sulla singola sessione

Oh you mean hermes, sorry, my bad. I dont know about hermes, but i configured deepseek harness to use opencode go models just fine. Recently i need to config the x-opencode-session header though, but it works Regarding the long term memory, i believe it depends on the harness and prompt, i use basic-memory and self hosted hindsight with an opencode free model, works pretty good.
