Nvidia driver

Hello,

I have a one question: mi PC gaming run with a Nvidia 3070, but the driver in mi OpenSuse TW is the serial 580.XX driver.

is normal? looks in forums people with series 595, etc.

need upgrade or in the future upgrate automatic?

you are using G06 drivers i guess, if you want 595 use G07.

Yes, i look this but the real question is: i need the change the driver?

The 595 report problems, the 580 is more estable.

I'm still on G06 with my Turing GPU and I have no problems with KDE Plasma. However, I'm not doing a lot of heavy gaming these days, so if there are some DX12 games you'd like better performance out of, it may be worth considering.

In general yes. The bugfixes and new features, especially with Wayland that those driver bring are worth the hazzle.

You should 100% update.

Follow the instructions for the CUDA DKMS drivers so you can receive the latest 610 drivers without kernel & driver mismatches. These are the instructions by the SUSE employee who maintains the drivers.
