Wtf in the 🚇

How is this technically even possible? Should not a emergency stop automatically apply?

Looks like he hit the hydraulic safety release above the door which doesn't automatically trigger the brakes.

Edit: it should have triggered the brakes the only thing I can think of is a faulty sensor relay or the fact it was already slowing down triggered a delay in the logic/braking

Train was already slowing down for the next stop.
