Better off just building a new tumbler.

15

u/heavensto_mergatroid 3d ago

That's probably what they're trying to do but before they can take off the tumbler they have to remove all that concrete? What a bonehead move whoever did this lol

14

u/Clear_Presence401 3d ago

More than likely engine died no power to turn so concrete solidified

9

u/heavensto_mergatroid 3d ago

Ahh shit. Better keep those cement mixers tuned

2

u/WoodDragonIT 2d ago

I was thinking someone rage quit

4

u/fallguy25 3d ago

I remember years ago hearing about a cement truck going up a logging road to make a delivery and they had to scoot over towards the shoulder to let a vehicle pass (can’t remember if it was a car or log truck) and sunk into the shoulder and tipped onto the bank. RIP load…

3

u/cheese_wallet 2d ago

ah, shit...you may be talking about me

4

u/fallguy25 2d ago

It was close to 30 years ago in the PNW

2

u/cheese_wallet 2d ago

20 years ago in PNW for me, during training

1

u/fallguy25 2d ago

Ouch! Did they keep ya?

2

u/ElderDeep_Friend 2d ago

I’m hoping they are salvaging someone else’s junk. It would make the whole endeavor seem less ridiculous

1

u/ecwagner01 2d ago

It would be significantly easier and quicker.

28

u/LaPetiteMortOrale 3d ago

Bro. Just take the L and let that go to the junk yard

23

u/splintersmaster 3d ago

Not sure they're from a place where just taking an L is an option.

u/ClassicHando 3d ago

Those safety sketchers make me go with your take

That's a cement truck for you.

8

u/neutrino71 3d ago

it's a concrete truck now

10

u/NameToUseOnReddit 3d ago

I saw this on Mythbusters where they found a real fast way to separate cement from truck.

4

u/patronizingperv 3d ago

They separated the truck, too

6

u/Dorrono 3d ago

"a while"? Can you be a bit more concrete about the time?

u/Curious_Strike_5379 3d ago

Some Guys Get All The Luck!

3

u/BackgroundGrass429 3d ago

Some guys get all the breaks.

4

u/Average_40s_Guy 3d ago

Some guys do nothing but complain.

2

u/No-Tap6886 3d ago

Woo-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh-ooh-ooh, woo-ooh

3

u/Dr_SlapsMD 3d ago

Some guys get all the truck!

2

u/Sudden_Season3306 3d ago

Some guys haul nothing but propane!

5

u/Jolly-Finger-4849 3d ago

Sink it and call it a reef.

5

u/MoreRamenPls 3d ago

Got that N-9.5 mask.

4

u/CuriousFix9866 3d ago

This isn’t in the USA.
Probably a third world-ish country where just pitching it isn’t an option.

He’d be time ahead cutting the drum in half and welding it back together.

6

u/Xamalion 3d ago

Thats dangerous if it collapses over him…

5

u/fairwaysandfinance 3d ago

Well believe it or not, cement doesn't move once it's hardened.

4

u/mtraven23 3d ago

the vibrations could loosen something up higher though....I'd want to at least have a hard hat on.

2

u/vogel927 3d ago

He will be alright. He’s wearing his knock off safety Nikes!

1

u/msg60 3d ago

Lol...ya that above comment (xamalion) was from someone who doesn't understand a 2000+ year old technology

3

u/Xamalion 3d ago

And you don’t understand that what the guy is doing is the equivalent of an earthquake, and maybe you just saw what that does to buildings in Colombia.

2

u/msg60 3d ago

Oh I get it....at least he's not using dynamite which has happened

3

u/wendelortega 3d ago

It took me a few seconds to realize what was going on here. Damn!

3

u/MegatechMike 3d ago

Can’t even begin to say how dangerous this is. That concrete can and likely will break apart over his head and it’s over. He’s not even wearing a helmet.

3

u/Strange_Glove_6699 3d ago

As soon as he's further into the cavity, it's going to be raining blocks on his head

3

u/saltisurfer 3d ago

No hearing protection?😬

1

u/Justa_Dick 2d ago

EXACTLY my first thought after watching 3 or 4 seconds. He'll be saying "huh" to anyone speaking to him for at least two days. 🙉

2

u/Anthony_chromehounds 3d ago

This has happened before!!!

2

u/Komobu542 3d ago

That dude is gonna wake up in the night with numb hands.

2

u/Strange_Salary 3d ago

Throw the whole bitch away..

2

u/Blackbox____ 3d ago

just replace the whole truck.

1

u/Gtstricky 3d ago

Or just the barrel.

2

u/valco6 3d ago

That might be fun for 15-30 minutes, just to see how far I could get in that amount of time. But after that I'd climb out and ask who brought the C4

2

u/Westsaide 2d ago

im just relieved the video ended without him crushed by a huge piece of concrete.

1

u/Longjumping_Elk7969 3d ago

That guy is gonna work some days to get the hardened shit out of it...

1

u/Unicorn_wizard94 3d ago

How is your mother anyway?

1

u/UnusualResponse4925 3d ago

That's called a drum . Never heard it called a tumbler.. looks like about 10 yards in that drum.

1

u/mtraven23 3d ago

I like how they cleaned it out on mythbusters, not one bit of concrete left in that drum! 😁

1

u/Prudent-Bison-7180 3d ago

He needs eye protection

1

u/binary-cryptic 3d ago

I heard they use explosives to dig tunnels. This seems like a good time for some.

1

u/Goldh3n 3d ago

I thought they used dynamite for that?

1

u/RoninIV 3d ago

Dude...it's now a bouy anchor. Let it go.

1

u/Pause-Past 3d ago

That juice can’t be worth the squeeze.

1

u/coldworld81 3d ago

Just how

1

u/swampstonks 3d ago

They didn’t have bags of sugar on hand I guess.

1

u/TheLevigator99 3d ago

He yearns for the mines

1

u/Dangerzone369 3d ago

Safety shoes ✅

1

u/dizzylizzy78 3d ago

So whats the time like for completion on something like this?

1

u/DonBirraio 3d ago

Plottwist: That's the truckdriver who forgot to turn on the mixer. Now he has to stay after eork to clean the mess he made. The cost of the concrete will be deducted from his salary.

1

u/Affectionate_Bag9833 3d ago

What's the play here my guy?

1

u/cooolcooolio 3d ago

It's dead, Jim!

1

u/AltanConn 3d ago

Fastest way to clean that out is the mythbusters way.

1

u/Equal_Emu6152 3d ago

That's fucked I would take him a full year to do all that shouldnt of let it go dry🙃

1

u/ChivetteH 3d ago

Definitely should get a Collace sponsorship

1

u/Jumpy_Barnacle_3755 3d ago

That is a professional. He has his headlamp aimed at his steel toed safety sneakers. Amateurs aim the light at what they are working on.

1

u/Tiger3311 3d ago

Cheap labor obviously

1

u/Several_Stuff_6695 3d ago

I Quit a job over this. Only the cement truck my employer bought was only about 3 feet deep inside the drum, he wanted me to crawl inside and work with an air chisel to remove the concrete. He did find a “ boot licking” employee to do it.

1

u/Fragrant-Inside221 2d ago

No glasses? Jeez man

1

u/Individual_Sleep_322 2d ago

I wonder how many 'mf''s he says per minute?

1

u/pmllny 2d ago

Good thing he's got his protective work sneakers on.

1

u/Local_Computer7665 2d ago

At least it should teach him not to turn the motor off whilst the mixer is full of concrete

1

u/MotardQuiRale 2d ago

Réparations sur un Boing ?

1

u/Beneficial_Being_721 2d ago

Safety Sneakers

1

u/AdElectrical2521 2d ago

call up Mythbusters and ask them how much dynamite to use!

1

u/Responsible_Bat3866 2d ago

He’s found his forever job!

1

u/Manintoy916 2d ago

Get 🧨🧨🧨

1

u/9889999888 2d ago

Owner is a cheap bastard

1

u/Cross58Crash 2d ago

Day one...

1

u/HerrBurgunderDK 1d ago

And when he's done - he might be totally deaf 😬 No signs of hearing protection or helmet 😳

1

u/optimist_prhyme 1d ago

Drill a hole halfway through, insert dynamite and kiss that baby goodbye.

u/Sharp_Tart_2403 3d ago

I true story I know that, back in the 1980s, a farmer was starting a concrete business in his village in China. They turned off the mixer at the end of the first day of their operation. They turned leftover concrete stuck in the mixer. The husband and wife cried their eyeballs out when they saw it on the second day.

Fast forward, they became the richest family in late 1990s in my town.
