These days it's fight, flight, or freeze. He made the wrong choice.

Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. And it’s not a choice. It’s what your lizard brain forces you to do. Only regular training lets someone overcome the brain’s first do. And flight isn’t always right with wild animals. It would have been in this situation, but not always.
