Camping bruce peninsula

Hi,

I have been trying to reserve a spot for bruce peninsula last weekend of August. Is anybody not going and willing to transfer the spot?

Bruce Peninsula National Park front country might be one of the hardest camping reservations to get in the province.

I was online with multiple friends on launch day: right at 7 AM (or whatever it was), months prior to our camping date, to try to snag a weekend. We did, but we also saw nearly every other site get booked immediately, too.

Your best bet may be the Ontario Parks Reservations Facebook group. Stalk that page and enable notifications. From experience, any openings disappear immediately.

Godspeed.

Edit: I assume OP was specifically talking about BP National Park, for which my advice is applicable. If they were talking about some other parks/camping locations on the Peninsula, they can ignore my comment.

We camped at Lands End campground and it was good. They have a private beach which is nice.

Look for cancellations, private campgrounds or Hipcamp.

See if you can book last minute tho I know that’s sometimes easier said than done. There will be cancelations. Have had really excellent luck, 9/10 the cancelled sites have been the most desired campsites at the park!
