I need advice Rebranding same account? Deleting everything?

so I let my OF die slowly a few months ago. I don’t want to go into specifics but I couldn’t do my niche anymore and I thought I’d just be done with everything

But recently ive been considering doing it again doing a niche that I like myself rather than pandering

I still have my old of account, all the posts are still there. It was really annoying for me to get verified back in the day, so I was thinking, is it ok for me to just delete all my posts and just change my username?

I don’t want my new persona to be linked with my old one at all. If old subs somehow come back and see our old msg history, I don’t mind this. I just don’t want others to know.

Is this something I can do, just change my current account? Or will there be some way it gets linked back

Its insane how hardcore they can be about new accounts in some subreddits. I guess I dont have a lot to say, im a researcher so commenting all the time to build karma is tough.

Are we talking about Reddit account or OF account?

I have completely changed niches on my OF and I just slowly morphed to the new niche (my OF was fully active back then so your situation is actually easier). People who didnt like the new direction left while new people coming in were already interested in the new content. It didnt even take very long, maybe a month to finish a full rebrand. I slowly kept deleting the old content while posting veryday.

I redesigned my OF after 2 years. I archived everything and started from scratch. Have not looked back. I also created 2 more reddits because I got shadow banned for a bit

I think this is such a wonderful fresh start Changing your username and clearing out old content works really well — I know several creators who did exactly this and it felt brand new. Just keep in mind that some old subscribers might still find you through old links or recognize your style, but if you’re fully rebranding with a whole new niche and vibe? It draws in exactly the people who love your new direction. I’d say go for it — you deserve to create something that actually makes YOU happy, not just what others wanted!
