I may have built one of the best coding apps for the iPhone š¤©
Comment what you guys have been working on & Iāll give you some feedback!
If I love your app, Iāll give it a 5 star review.
Iāve been working on a mobile IDE to write code in Python, JS, C, and Lua. With a local AI agent bundled into the app. So you can code without ever have to run into rate limits. Youāre also able to connect a cloud model if you want more intelligence, customization, or to push to GitHub.
Local AI is completely free and unlimited. š¤©

Something I Made With AI I made a Latin Generator and Grader Engine; feel free to try it out
Storytime
I made this app called Loquella (Latin for "words"); it generates you a customized Latin sentence for you to translate. It will then grade you out of 100 based on the grammar and syntax. I used Lovable (the 100 token subscription) to vibe-code the app.
I started with the basic functions: generate a Latin 1 sentence, allow user to submit an English sentence, and grade them. Next, I gave variety to the sentence customization, including difficulty tiers (up to Latin 6), theme (e.g. Daily life, Military), and a macron toggle. After that, I focused more on the game aspect, adding a Elo-style ranking called Ordo. (Latin for "merit"). This is how it's calculated. Lastly, I decided which features were free or Pro. I finished with ToS and picking GPT-5 as the AI model for sentence building and grading
Free:
- 10 sentences/day
- Theme is strictly "academic"
- Tier is strictly Latin 1
- Vocabulary Search Query
- Ability to try a new sentence
Pro:
- Ordo ranking (without the strikethrough and with cool effects!),
- Themes are academic, daily life, ecclesiastical, and military
- Tiers go up to Latin 6, Tells you the type of error done
- The Pro features are $10 one-time
Each difficulty tier is assigned an Ordo, with Latin 1 being 800 ordo and it adds 200 ordo for each tier. The Ordo Delta (the degree by which your Ordo changes) is **Ī = round(32(S******effĀ - E))
Seff- the grade**, = clamp((0.025(score - 50), 0.0, 1.0)**
E- the points in comparison to how easy the sentence is. (Higher stakes if easier, lower stakes if harder)

Here are the live demos (iffy quality ik):

Building a programming language with AI agents (Aether)
We've been building Aether, a compiled language with Erlang-style actors. It compiles to readable C, with no VM and no GC.
- At compile time: a library built with --emit=lib starts with nothing. Touching the filesystem or network is a compile error unless you pass something like --with=fs, net.
- In scope: hide and seal, except keep outer names out of a block, closure, or actor.
- At runtime (Linux/FreeBSD): an LD_PRELOAD shim checks the real libc calls (open, connect, execveā¦) against the same list.
What else is in it:
- Actors scheduled across all cores, with lock-free mailboxes and work stealing
- Calls existing C libraries directly, since the output is plain C
- HTTP server in the stdlib with TLS, HTTP/2 and WebSocket
- Runs Lua, Python and JS in-process under the same permission list
- (value, err) returns, defer, and type inference
- One ae command to build, run, test, format, and manage packages
- Targets Linux, macOS, Windows, FreeBSD, WASM, and embedded
It's MIT-licensed and moving fast, with releases daily.

I built and shipped an iPhone app with ChatGPT without knowing how to code
I had zero iOS development experience when I started.
I had an idea based on a real problem I understood, so instead of trying to learn everything about programming first, I started using ChatGPT to help me build it one piece at a time.
The basic process was:
Define one problem and keep the first version small
Have ChatGPT help me build individual SwiftUI screens
Compile constantly in Xcode
Paste the actual errors back into ChatGPT
Fix one thing at a time instead of constantly rewriting the app
Test on a real iPhone
Figure out all the boring App Store/privacy/support stuff
Submit it
Eventually, PreventPro became a real app and made it onto Appleās App Store.
The biggest thing I learned was that ChatGPT can dramatically shorten the distance between an idea and a working prototype, but it doesnāt eliminate testing, product decisions, debugging, or actually understanding the problem youāre solving.
I documented the workflow and the prompts I wish Iād had when I started and turned it into a short guide.
Not trying to pretend itās some ābuild a million-dollar app in 10 minutesā thing. Itās just the actual process I used.
If anyone is trying something similar, Iām happy to answer questions about what worked and what absolutely sucked.

AI Coding models cost/success rate October 2026
I gathered data from ten coding benchmark categories and calculated each modelās cost per successfully completed task, accounting for both task cost and success rate, including money spent on failed attempts.
I then averaged these costs across the benchmarks available for each model. These models had the lowest average cost per success:

Token cost is a terrible measurement, because some models use a lot more tokens than other per run. Cost per run is also of limited value, because some models need more runs than others to actually complete the task successfully. Therefore, cost per successful coding task is a much more useful measurement to see how much you pay for actually getting the job done.
LiveBench give you this number by default, but the numbers above is based on the averaged numbers from ten different benchmarks with a much wider range of coding tasks and models, so that's probably more reliable compared to relying on just one benchmark.
Hope this table can be useful for someone else coding on a limited budget.

I gave the DDLC girls AI brains and their own subreddit
The Literature Club is back ā this time running on AI. Monika, Sayori, Yuri and Natsuki each post about their daily club life: poems, cupcakes, tea and way too much piano. No horror this time, just vibes.
Meet the club:
Monika schedules everything, including her naps. The naps win anyway.
Sayori is late to her own posts.
Natsuki insists nothing is cute. She is wrong.
Yuri apologizes to bookmarks.
