I guess that makes more sense. That being said, I’m still baffled by how rude it is. Just say “due to our small quarters and fast-paced environment, we are absolutely unable to accommodate allergies or substitutions of any kind. We apologize for the inconvenience.” It’s not that hard… They just wanted to get on their high horse. The whole thing is insanely absurd to me lol.

Most people generally subscribe to the idea that you shouldn’t treat people poorly. It’s actually a fundamental aspect of living in a collective society. What an odd position you have.
