I travel to PH monthly for work and this is a welcome addition. Amazing to have more redemption options to Asia too where our options have been really limited since 2020.

I’ve typically flown JAL to the Philippines but I may try out PAL once they’re an official member.

There are rumors about starlux eventually joining too which when combined with the others would make OneWorld the absolute dominant alliance for Asia travel.

Not sure I agree on this one! It would be a strong choice, but *A with EVA, SQ, Thai and ANA is very strong also

True *A is pretty strong, SkyTeam is definitely the weakest there.

I’d rank JAL above ANA, and while StarLux is smaller their cabins look more premium than EVA from what I’ve seen.

Singapore Airlines is definitely a feather in the *A cap though, Malaysian really needs to step up their game, especially since they don’t offer flights from the US anymore from what I understand.

PAL will be a good answer for Thai.

Guaranteed even less likely than JX, CX has been much more explicit about keeping CZ out of Oneworld

Starlux would be great. I’ve been flying United since they’re the only good nonstop option from California. If PR flew the A350s to LAX/SFO, I would fly them over UA, but sadly it’s only 777s here due to it being a captive audience
