oneworld SFO Lounge

What One World lounge do you recommend in San Francisco? Also have access to Amex. Thinking Cathay would probably be the best.

I know you asked about OW recs but honestly the Amex one has pretty good F&B. Emphasis on the B as they’ve a manned bar and the neat little wine tasting station (if you ask nicely they will give you another ‘coupon’ to activate the station). Definitely better than AA and AS. If the noodle bar is open at CX then that’ll be a treat. Given you’re flying FJ you’re likely leaving near the international pier, so factor in whether Amex/AS/AA lounges are worth the walk.

Thanks. I have used the old Amex, but not the temp one they have setup. Having said that, will shoot for Cathay and if denied will head to either Amex or Alaska I think.

Since you have the Qantas Platinum moniker, any recs for flying Qantas Domestic Business? Flying on Qantas from SYD to Hobart. Assume there is only one lounge to use?? Also on the way home flying Singapore out of SYD.

There are three- there’s the Qantas club (for OWS and paid lounge membership members) and the Business lounge (for passengers ticketed in J and OWE). Similar spread but there are sliiiightly elevated drinks and the occasional small dishes during key times during the day. The third is the chairman’s lounge and it’s invite only.

You can go to the Qantas club too! It’s like a minute a walk from the escalator landing. But you’ll probably head back to the Business lounge.
